While it’s often said that actors from film families have certain advantages over outsiders, things can become difficult for newcomers who have no industry backing. According to industry whispers, something similar reportedly happened during the making of a youthful college drama starring a young action hero.
The film showcased a cheerful friendship between its two leading actresses on screen, but sources claim the reality behind the scenes was very different. Both actresses were newcomers, but one belonged to a well-known Bollywood family. Her father was once a hero and now appears in character roles, while her mother is known for hosting corporate and social events.
According to insiders, the star kid allegedly made life quite uncomfortable for her co-star during the shoot. Despite posting friendly photos and messages about their bond on social media, the atmosphere on set was reportedly far from warm. Sources claim the other actress was often left upset and would retreat to her vanity van in tears.
The only person she reportedly confided in was the film’s male lead, who offered support during the shoot. This closeness is said to have made the star kid even more insecure. She allegedly began demanding the best resources on set, including makeup artists, hairstylists and wardrobe choices, while also keeping a close watch on what her co-star was doing.
Industry chatter suggests that if things did not go her way, she would throw tantrums — quite different from the sweet public image she maintained.
Meanwhile, the outsider actress has since received appreciation and secured more film offers. On the other hand, the star kid’s debut film did not perform well at the box office, although she managed to sign another project with the help of a well-known producer who had earlier launched her.
Sources say she has also been trying to stay in the spotlight through various media activities, while rumours linking her to co-stars have circulated frequently. However, industry insiders feel she may need to focus more on building her career steadily.
