In the entertainment industry, last-minute cancellations and broken commitments are not unheard of. According to industry buzz, a young Bollywood actor recently disappointed a prominent event organiser after failing to attend a high-profile appearance he had already agreed to.
Sources say the actor, who gained considerable attention after a few moderately successful films, had been paid a substantial fee to perform at an event in Indonesia. The event reportedly featured several well-known actors and actresses from the film industry, many of whom managed to attend as scheduled.
However, insiders claim the young star kept delaying his arrival and eventually failed to show up altogether despite having accepted the payment in advance. The actor was reportedly shooting in North India at the time and had assured the organisers he would travel for the event.
Instead, according to those familiar with the situation, the actor chose to spend time with his girlfriend, who was shooting closer to his location. He allegedly cited health issues as the reason for missing the event, but insiders claim he remained with his partner for several days during that period.
The actor’s representatives are said to have apologised to the organiser and even offered to return the appearance fee. However, the organiser — a well-known personality in Southeast Asia — was reportedly upset and felt embarrassed in front of guests after the actor failed to attend.
