Despite the growing success of women-centric films, it appears that not all leading men are willing to take a backseat on screen.
A young actor, who recently delivered a major blockbuster, has reportedly declined a role in a female-led political drama—even though it starred an actress he has often called his favourite co-star.
The two have previously worked together in films that received both critical acclaim and mixed box-office results. Over the years, the actor has publicly praised her, often expressing admiration for her talent.
However, when approached for this new project, he chose to opt out. Insiders suggest that the decision was influenced by his recent success, which has elevated his market standing. The actor reportedly felt uncomfortable taking on a secondary role, especially in a film centered around the actress.
The refusal hasn’t gone down well, with the actress said to be upset over his decision.
