An upcoming big-ticket film recently ran into behind-the-scenes trouble involving its production team.
Initially backed by a producer along with a major corporate studio, the project hit a snag over concerns related to originality. In an attempt to fix the situation, the producer reportedly brought in a close associate to help resolve the issue.
However, things escalated when it emerged that this new entrant would also be credited as a producer on the film. The director, unhappy with this development, stepped in and took a firm stand.
Sources say the filmmaker called both individuals in and removed them from the project altogether, unwilling to compromise on control and credit.
