This film’s producer is out to cash in on profitable project by making a sequel

In this line of work, success usually washes away all past sins and issues that people may have with you. Usually, but not always!

Take, for example, this film that wasn’t exactly a massive success at the box office when it released some time ago, but thanks to the rising popularity of its main lead, it managed to do better business than expected. More importantly, the film’s ancillary rights fetched a decent price, making it a plus project for everyone concerned.

Not surprisingly then, the film’s producer is out to cash in on the profitable project by making a sequel. That the original main lead is now way out of the producer’s league was a given but the producer was surprised to learn that even the director wasn’t too keen to work with him again. The reason? Let’s just say: once bitten, twice shy!

Undeterred, the producer is marching on and zeroing in on potential substitutes. Full marks for persistence, we say!
