Two highly anticipated films were initially set to go head-to-head on a major holiday, setting the stage for a massive box-office showdown. However, things may not go as planned.
The team behind the supernatural film is reportedly having second thoughts about the clash. Apart from the rival star’s strong hold over holiday releases, their own film is still incomplete, with shooting and VFX work pending.
Interestingly, the clash itself appears to have stemmed from a strategic move. The action film’s star announced the release date first, possibly after learning about the other project’s plans. Not wanting to back down, the opposing team followed suit and locked the same date.
Now, behind the scenes, the producers of the supernatural film are quietly considering postponement. They’ve even shortlisted alternative release windows but are being cautious about when to make the announcement. The idea is to maintain buzz for as long as possible before officially shifting dates.
What complicates matters further is that the lead actor of the supernatural film is reportedly not fully on board with the delay, especially since one of his earlier releases had already been pushed without his approval.
For now, discussions are ongoing, and the final call remains under wraps.
