That warning seems to have done the trick. The actress is said to have read the script mid-flight, approved it within a day, and even arranged a quick meeting with the director overseas, fast-tracking the film into motion. Since signing on, insiders say she has been thoroughly committed to the project — though industry watchers still wonder whether the rival angle was a strategic push or a masterstroke in persuasion.
