A well-known filmmaker who belongs to a prominent film family has reportedly remained involved in a major project despite earlier controversies linked to the Me Too movement. Although he had stepped away from directing his own film at the time, industry chatter suggests he may still be quietly contributing behind the scenes.

According to insiders, the director’s sibling — also a filmmaker — is currently helming a big remake featuring a popular dancing superstar. Sources claim the sibling has been consulting him for creative feedback while developing the script.

The remake project, which has been in development for months, reportedly faced delays earlier due to issues with securing the remake rights and finalising the lead cast. Eventually, the dancing superstar agreed to join the project, and discussions began with a leading actress who is married to a well-known sportsperson.

Insiders say the Me Too-accused filmmaker has attended several script discussions and even participated in brainstorming sessions with the writing team and production members. At one such meeting, the draft of the script was reportedly discussed at his residence, where he offered creative suggestions while the director of the remake listened.

The producer backing the project has reportedly entrusted most of the creative control to the director, which is why the situation has not created immediate tension within the team. However, some people involved in the project are said to be curious about how the producer might react if he learns about the director’s sibling taking part in the creative decisions.

Interestingly, the superstar leading the film had earlier removed a team member from one of his projects after that person was named during the Me Too movement. Observers say his willingness to continue with the remake despite the controversy may be because he is keen to make the film happen.

Meanwhile, the film’s writer is reportedly concerned that he might eventually have to share credit for the script if the sibling’s involvement becomes more formal.
