Sometimes film projects attempt to operate on budgets that eventually prove difficult to sustain. According to industry chatter, an upcoming movie recently faced an embarrassing situation during its outdoor shooting schedule.
The film had been announced with a credible lead actor but reportedly experienced some casting issues earlier, particularly with the selection of the female lead. After resolving those problems, the production finally began shooting at an outdoor location following multiple delays.
However, sources say the unit soon ran into financial trouble while filming. The production team allegedly ran out of funds needed to cover the ongoing expenses at the location.
Things reportedly escalated when the hotel management and other vendors, who had not been paid, refused to allow the cast and crew to leave until the dues were cleared. Insiders claim the team’s belongings were even taken from their rooms and held until the payment issue could be resolved.
Interestingly, rumours suggest that the lead actor managed to leave the location quietly while the situation was still unfolding.
The producers are now reportedly trying to arrange funds and settle the outstanding payments before the story spreads further.
