A talented but low-profile filmmaker, known for making only a few films so far, is reportedly facing difficulties casting the lead actor for his upcoming project. According to industry chatter, at least three actors have politely declined the role, even though the film is backed by one of Bollywood’s biggest studios.
Interestingly, the actors who turned down the offer were not even major superstars. One of them was a relatively new actor who made a strong impression with his debut film, which was considered among the year’s best.
Sources say the repeated rejections have affected the director deeply. As a result, he has reportedly decided to put the project on hold for the time being.
Instead, the filmmaker is said to have taken up an opportunity to co-direct a large-scale television series with a well-known NRI filmmaker. According to insiders, he has even mentioned to friends that he is unsure when he will return to working on the film.
